Oscar Molina, CEO and Boys Program Director of Downtown LA Soccer Club (DTLA SC), is a founding memberwho has led the club since its start in 2007. A driving force behind DTLA SC’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality soccer for underserved youth, Oscar has coached the club’s first team to reach the CSL Premier League and currently leads the B09 Black. 

Oscar’s leadership encompasses strategic planning, program development, and community outreach, ensuring that DTLA SC remains a beacon for youth soccer in the region. His commitment to inclusivity and excellence continues to shape the club’s positive impact on young athletes’ lives.

He previously played professionally for L.A. Salsa in the American Professional Soccer League (APSL), where he was coached by Rildo Menezes, a former Brazilian National Team player and teammate of Pelé.

Mick Muhlfriedel is the President of Downtown Los Angeles Soccer Club (DTLA SC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality soccer opportunities to youth in Los Angeles, particularly those from underserved communities. With over 20 years of experience in youth soccer programs, Mick has been instrumental in shaping DTLA SC’s mission and growth.

Under Mick’s leadership, DTLA SC has focused on eliminating financial barriers to entry, ensuring that talented players can participate regardless of their economic background. The club’s philosophy, encapsulated in the motto “If you can play, you can play,” reflects this commitment to inclusivity and opportunity.

Mick’s dedication extends beyond administrative duties; he actively engages with players and their families, often providing transportation, equipment, and support to those in need. His hands-on approach has fostered a nurturing environment where young athletes can thrive both on and off the field.

Through his unwavering commitment, Mick Muhlfriedel has made DTLA SC a beacon of hope and development for many young soccer enthusiasts in Los Angeles.

Mick Muhlfriedel, a former collegiate player at Loyola University Chicago, holds a USSF National “D” License and is currently the head coach of the Girls 2013 team, continuing to lead both on and off the field.

Ernesto De la O serves as the Director of Coaching for Downtown Los Angeles Soccer Club (DTLA SC), leading the club’s coaching staff, player development curriculum, and team performance strategies.

With years of experience coaching youth, high school, competitive club soccer, and at the professional level. Ernesto is known for his ability to identify talent, develop players, and build cohesive, competitive teams. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding DTLA SC teams to success at the highest levels, including multiple appearances in the Coast Soccer League Premier Bracket and Cal South National Cup Championships.

A respected mentor and community leader, Ernesto is deeply committed to making soccer accessible for players in Los Angeles’ underserved neighborhoods. He champions DTLA SC’s mission of providing affordable, high-quality soccer development to all players, regardless of their background or financial means.

Under his leadership, the club has strengthened its player development pathway, preparing athletes for success in high school, college, and beyond, while fostering a culture of sportsmanship, discipline, and community pride.

Ernesto continues to be a driving force behind DTLA SC’s growth, leading with passion, expertise, and a dedication to changing lives through soccer.

He is a Cal South coaching instructor and holds a USSF “A” license coaching certification. Formerly Ernesto has been the assistant coach at Mission College and two professional teams C.D.Nejapa in El Salvador and Delfines del Carmen in Mexico and the El Salvador National Team as well as in the USSF ODP program.

Jackie has been a part of the DTLA-SC family since her eldest daughter joined the club in 2012. She now has one daughter playing for the club and two of her children (and former players) coaching at DTLA-SC. Her responsibilities as Administrative Director of the girls’ program include making sure all players are registered and properly equipped and coaches are properly certified and supported.

Antonio has been a coach and administrator with the DTLA-SC since its inception in 2008. In his present position his responsibilities include recruiting and overseeing the team placement and training of all boys ages 8 through 12 as well as assigning and assisting the coaches of teams in those age brackets.
